After lots of fluctuations in the exam schedule, like changing from 5th of this month to 3th and again postponing the last 3 exams until the completion of campus recruitments, our exams are finally starting from tomorrow - the 3th of May 2008. Even though I couldn’t complete most of the syllabus, I feel that I’m not alone in this. Almost everybody in our batch didn’t read at all on a blind hope that the exams will be postponed. Now, it’s damn sure that the 6th sem B-tech exams of MANIT Bhopal are starting from tomorrow but the students are still not prepared. Many of them seems to have surrendered to the vast amounts of topics they have to cover for the exams. Of course, I’m also one of them. It seems I have no hope for the exams and here I’m trying to spend a little time sharing my hurdles with you and forget all the tensions of the exam.

After reading for about 8-9 hours today, I feel like I’ve been day dreaming and have forgotten almost everything that I read. The vast amount of topics that I have to read and the meager amount of time I have - thinking of them, I just want to give up. And in fact, my last hope is luck. Maybe the questions will be easy enough to make a 50% score or so. Maybe I would remember everything I read. Maybe all the questions will come from topics that I read. Now, luck is my last hope. But for you there are still many hopes. So, if I were you, I would start reading right now so that I don’t end up like I’m now. What I mean is ->

“Don’t wait for the time when it is too late. Do your duties in time and it will be a lot more easier for you.”

Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) - thats my college. I study computer science here and I’m currently in third year (6th semester). Technically, it is one of the NITs which mean National Institutes of technology. The NITs are National level institutes which are autonomous and are deemed universities in the engineering discipline. Well, my college is also one of the NITs and therefore, a deemed university too. I can’t say much about this college but I’m sure there are lots of brilliant students here. I like being around with such talented people and I enjoy the environment here - “Hey, Never study for exam until it is too late” .

Talking about college, I want to mention placements this year. About a month ago, all of the final years had been placed in one or more companies. But the thing is that just two days ago, Microsoft’s recruitment was scheduled suddenly and two got selected. Considering the placements this year, I can proudly say that my college has one of the best campus recruitments in the NITs.

The Politics - , I don’t wanna talk about it. I’ll just say there are lots of politics here and I’m not the only one who hates it. But there are good things too. So, its not much a big thing to worry.

The college is a big campus but there are a lot more fields of grass than the buildings. Sometimes, I feel like I’m in a desert because the temperature is so high, the college building is so far from the hostel and when I go for college, it reminds me of the movie “Hidalgo”.

This is the best part. Well, this picture is taken at the energy center which most of the students don’t bother to have a look at. But once you see this place, you will like it and I too kind of like it.

And this is our Students’ Activity Center. I don’t know why they call it Students’ Activity Center. The students hardly go there for their activities.

On March 14 this year, the Microsoft Corporations visited MANIT Bhopal for recruitment. For many years, the company didn’t come to our college for recruitment and this year, they came suddenly and recruited two students. Though the number of recruitments is quite low, it is quite a good performance from the students because no one was prepared for it and this is the first time Microsoft came in years. The statistics of the recruitment is as follows:

No. of students appeared: 70
No. of students who cleared First Round: 18
No. of students who cleared 2nd Round: 8
No. of students selected: 2

Well, next year it will be ours and I’ll be working hard for it. As a part of my preparations for the placement, I’ll post some tips about “How to prepare for Microsoft’s Recruitment”.

Its been about 8 months that since I became a blogger and I have been earning more than $500 a month. However, I never stepped into adsense because I thought its difficult. Last month, I started by my first proxy site which has new proxy sites listed in it. The proxies in the list are updated everyday so that users may find new proxy sites which serve their purpose fully.

I haven’t worked so hard on this one but It has reached 888,075 rank in Alexa. I think it’s a great improvement for a site which is only one month 20 days old. I think you can surely check this site and if you find it interesting, don’t forget to bookmark it and also spread the word.

Today, I have reached an adsense revenue of $100 since last month. $100 per month is quite low but I think it’s a good start for first month. The picture below is my adsense earning till today.

Today I went to see my new room and it was quite clean. My friends say that I don’t have to apply paints like them. Well it was indeed a clean room with very little cracks or nothing at all. Well I’m very excited that I’ll be living in that room. Now, everyone’s packing with interest but I’m very sad at this very happy moment. My internet connection will be unavailable for many days and I don’t know when it will be back. It’s because there’s no connection in hostel no 6 and I have to run after those BSNL guys to bring back my internet connection. I know they won’t do it in time and it’s their nature wasting for more than 10 days. In June first week, I was not having internet connection for more than 12 days but I went to hostel 5 where my senior’s internet connection is free because they went home.

But now, they are all back and I don’t know where to continue my works. I think I’m gonna have to leave my work more many days. I’m so sad I’ll stop writing in my blogs. This is not the only blog I’m writing but I already have more 8 blogs. How am I going to manage those 8 blogs without my internet connection? Well I think I have to give my blogs a long goodbye. Well I’ll hope my internet connection be back sooner than I expect. But until that time, I have to say bye to you too.
