On March 14 this year, the Microsoft Corporations visited MANIT Bhopal for recruitment. For many years, the company didn’t come to our college for recruitment and this year, they came suddenly and recruited two students. Though the number of recruitments is quite low, it is quite a good performance from the students because no one was prepared for it and this is the first time Microsoft came in years. The statistics of the recruitment is as follows:

No. of students appeared: 70
No. of students who cleared First Round: 18
No. of students who cleared 2nd Round: 8
No. of students selected: 2

Well, next year it will be ours and I’ll be working hard for it. As a part of my preparations for the placement, I’ll post some tips about “How to prepare for Microsoft’s Recruitment”.

Its been about 8 months that since I became a blogger and I have been earning more than $500 a month. However, I never stepped into adsense because I thought its difficult. Last month, I started by my first proxy site which has new proxy sites listed in it. The proxies in the list are updated everyday so that users may find new proxy sites which serve their purpose fully.

I haven’t worked so hard on this one but It has reached 888,075 rank in Alexa. I think it’s a great improvement for a site which is only one month 20 days old. I think you can surely check this site and if you find it interesting, don’t forget to bookmark it and also spread the word.

Today, I have reached an adsense revenue of $100 since last month. $100 per month is quite low but I think it’s a good start for first month. The picture below is my adsense earning till today.

For more than a year, I had been using my old PC. It had a Pentium III processor, a mercury 815 e motherboard and 192(128+64) MB of SDR Memory. It seems quite outdated but it did a lot to me. I learned many things about computer and now I have enough knowledge to repair 90% of problems in other PCs in our hostel. There are more than 230 people in the hostel and My PC was the oldest (1999). However, My PC was not the slowest. There were many friends’ PCs which work even slower than my old PC. Anyway, my old PC has earned me more than 60 thousand Indian Rupees and I love it.

However, my old PC is not enough for my works involving bigger softwares like Photoshop and other tools. So, I had to buy a new one- a better one. So did I bought one recently although I haven’t got the M/C yet. They say the M/C will reach Bhopal 10 days later. It’s because I bought a bigger PC this time. It’s an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ and Asus’s M2NPV-VM motherboard. The motherboard was not available in the local market and it had to be ordered and that’s the reason why I haven’t got my CPU till now. But the motherboard is a good one with its low price and features.

It has many features but I’m mentioning only some of them.

1. It has NVIDIA GeForce 6150/nForce 430 chipset.
2. It has 4 DDR2 DIMM memory slots of 2GB each making the whole expandable memory 8GB.
3. Graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce 6150.
4. It has a low price of 5200 INR.

And all other features which usually come in the M2 series of ASUS motherboards. Other details are shown here. Anyway, when I receive my new PC, I’ll be celebrating with you all.

Today I went to see my new room and it was quite clean. My friends say that I don’t have to apply paints like them. Well it was indeed a clean room with very little cracks or nothing at all. Well I’m very excited that I’ll be living in that room. Now, everyone’s packing with interest but I’m very sad at this very happy moment. My internet connection will be unavailable for many days and I don’t know when it will be back. It’s because there’s no connection in hostel no 6 and I have to run after those BSNL guys to bring back my internet connection. I know they won’t do it in time and it’s their nature wasting for more than 10 days. In June first week, I was not having internet connection for more than 12 days but I went to hostel 5 where my senior’s internet connection is free because they went home.

But now, they are all back and I don’t know where to continue my works. I think I’m gonna have to leave my work more many days. I’m so sad I’ll stop writing in my blogs. This is not the only blog I’m writing but I already have more 8 blogs. How am I going to manage those 8 blogs without my internet connection? Well I think I have to give my blogs a long goodbye. Well I’ll hope my internet connection be back sooner than I expect. But until that time, I have to say bye to you too.

Finally I got my new room in Hostel no 6. It has been 2 years since I came here in MANIT and now I’m in third year of computer science and engineering. I got my new room after 4 days of running for the room. My room number is 6167 which is the first room in first floor of the D-block of hostel 6. I don’t know how it looks like but I feel like I’m really going to like this one. We at 3rd year stay in single rooms though we stayed in double and triple rooms in 2nd yr and 1st year respectively. Now, I’ll be staying alone and it makes me feel lonely although I can progress my works more rapidly than before.

I’m now making plans for my new room - where to put my old PC and where to put the Bed and so on. I’m really excited about my new room. Well, I need some time with my plans… I’ll be back when I got my new room.:)
